Day 1 : Abu Simbel Temple By Car

Enjoy your excursion to Abu Simbel . A representative will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach for a small group tour to Abu Simbel. The drive takes approximately three and a half hours one way from Aswan to Abu Simbel. The two temples at Abu Simbel are masterpieces of ancient Egyptian architecture, showcasing the splendor and grandeur of the New Kingdom. In collaboration with UNESCO, the Egyptian government undertook a major effort to save these temples from being submerged. The Temple of Ramses II is dedicated to four universal deities: Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and Ramses II himself. Often referred to as the Sun Temple of Ramses II, this great temple reflects his divine association. The Temple of Queen Nefertari, also known as the Temple of Hathor, symbolizes the union of Ramses II, Nefertari, Hathor, and the Sun God. After your visit, you will be returned to your hotel in Aswan.
